  • Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Can I pay cash?

    Tickets must be purchased in advance. To maximize your chance of getting the day, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can be purchased online with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard or by calling 786-361-0991. Cash is not accepted.

  • If a food tour is sold out, can I get on a waiting list?

    We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a good chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please email us to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability.

  • How much food is served on the food tour?

    Miami Food Tours serves enough food that for most participants, lunch afterward is not necessary. Please know that our food tours are not intended to replace breakfast and lunch, so please consider eating breakfast before the tour.

  • How much walking is involved? Is it a fast-paced tour?

    The SoBe Tour des Forks covers 1.5 miles and lasts between 3 and 3.5 hours. We walk at a moderate pace with seating provided in most of the restaurants for at least an hour of total resting.

  • Do your tours have anything to offer a native Miamian?

    A large amount of Miami Food Tours’ participants live in the Miami area and are looking for something fun to do on their day off. Miamians who take our tour discover the rich history and architectural gems of the city they live in, while getting to know the South Beach locals’ favorite restaurants and cafes.

  • Does the tour guide accept gratuities?

    Gratuities are greatly appreciated, but not mandatory. In the tourism industry, it is customary to tip your tour guide as you would a waitperson, between 15% and 18%.

  • What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

    As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate most allergies and dietary restrictions. Please be sure to let us know if you or anybody in your group has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your ticket.

    Gluten Free – Although we can gladly substitute some items for gluten free options, please know that selection is limited in some restaurants and may not be as enjoyable.

  • Can I shop during the tour?

    We ask that tour participants hold off on their shopping until after the tour so that we can stay on schedule for our food-tastings. We end near the starting point, so it will be easy to find your way back to any shops.

  • When is the best time to take the tour?

    We highly recommend taking our food tours at the beginning of your visit to allow plenty of time to continue exploring South Beach and so you may return to your favorite food tasting locations and redeem your store coupons.

  • Is the tour appropriate for children?

    While we offer both adolescent and children tickets for families, the tour is three hours long and some children have a limited attention span and therefore the tour may not be appropriate for some of them. Please consider the amount of walking and standing when deciding whether the tour is appropriate for your child.

  • Is the tour wheelchair and baby stroller accessible?

    Yes—our tour route and tasting establishments are wheelchair and baby stroller accessible and friendly. If you are unable to walk long distances, please ask us about Swoop rides.

  • Can I book a private group tour?

    Yes—Miami Food Tours Private Group Tours are available. To set up a private tour or to learn more, visit ‘Private Group Tours’ and submit a Private Group Tour Request Form. A member of our staff will get back to you within 2 working days.

  • Are gift certificates available?

    Yes, Miami Food Tours Gift Certificates are available. To purchase or learn more about our gift certificates, please visit our Gift Certificates page. You will be able to purchase your gift certificate through Paypal. A member of Miami Food Tours staff will email you the gift certificate.

  • Are there options for vegetarians?

    Yes there are substitutions for vegetarians available.

  • Are beverages served during the tour?

    Drink tastings are included on the tour—a hot beverage and a chilled beverage. Water is served at most tasting locations.

  • Are alcoholic drinks served?

    Miami Food Tours does not serve beer, wine or cocktails during the tour. We also ask that if you feel like a beer or cocktail, to wait until after the tour in order to stay on schedule and respect the time of the rest of the group.

  • Where does the tour begin?

    The Sobe Tour des Forks tour begins in South Beach on Lincoln Road.

    The Wynwood Tour des Forks begins close to the entrance of Wynwood.

    The meeting point and directions will be disclosed upon ticket purchase.

  • Where does the tour end?

    The SoBe Tour des Forks ends just a block and a half from the starting point. A map is provided to all participants of the tour.

  • What type of food is served on the tour?

    We taste foods from a variety of ethnic restaurants and cafes. A list of the food tasting locations can be found on the Tours page of our website.

    You can find a list of our current food tasting locations on the Tours page of our website. Please know that food tasting locations are subject to change without notice.

  • Are the tours offered only in English?

    Miami Food Tours operates our tours in English. Please email us, info@miamifoodtours.com, if you would like to arrange for your own interpreter to join the tour.

  • What happens if it rains or storms?

    Miami Food Tours operates rain or shine, please bring an umbrella or poncho if it looks like rain and wear appropriate shoes. In the case of inclement weather, we are able to enter most of the establishments on the tour.

  • Are bathrooms available during the tour?

    Yes, bathrooms are available at most of our food-tasting locations.

  • If I am bringing an baby or very young child, do I need to buy a ticket for them?

    If your child will not be participating in the tastings, they do not need a ticket. However, please do let us know that you will be bringing an infant or young child in the notes section.

  • Are cameras allowed on the tour?

    Yes, cameras are allowed (we’re not visiting any museums on the tour).

  • Is there parking near the tour starting point?

    Yes, plenty of street and garage parking is located near the starting point of the SoBe Tour des Forks. Specific parking details are provided upon the purchase of your ticket(s), including address, directions and pricing.
